LOCATION: Shanghai

BACKGROUND

Learning and Talent Development team plays a key role in providing the learning and talent development strategies to help drive the rapid business growth in China.  Opportunity now exists for high performing individuals to join the growing training team in Learning & Talent Development team.    

The Senior Manager, Learning works closely with the business to proactively identify the training needs to support people development which directly drives business performance.  The role is critical in leading and coaching other trainers, ensuring quality of training programmes, bringing new training techniques and introducing effective learning solutions to the organization. We look for candidates with managerial experience with subject matter expertise in the fields of professional/managerial/leadership training.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist Head of Learning and Talent Develop to execute the learning agenda in China.

2. Work with business leaders in driving learning and development roadmap, reviewing training needs analysis, and deploying the best learning solutions.

3. Lead and manage the learning team in delivering learning solutions to meet local business needs and deliver Group learning curriculum.

4. Coach Learning and Development Managers in their delivery skills and techniques, including conducting Train-the-Trainer programmes, optimizing the CADDIE model and up-skilling team on facilitation standards.  

5. Work with Group Curriculum Architects in customizing appropriate curriculum and learning solutions that meet business needs in China.

6. Deliver end to end learning solutions per China Talent Strategy.

7. Supervise the evaluation of training effectiveness to continually improve the quality of OL services.

8. Develop and implement post course consulting and coaching solutions to maximize transfer of learning to the business.

9. Keep abreast of best practices in learning and development to raise the performance of Organization Learning.


SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. University graduate with solid experience with a proven record in leading teams, with exposure in China market a definite advantage.

2. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with a passion for learning and people development, enjoys creating new solutions to meet changing demands and with a continued drive to raise the bar.  

3. Good influencing skills, with the ability to consult, analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluation the training intervention end to end.

4. Highly observant to group dynamics with strong facilitation and coaching skills.  Familiar with professional/managerial/leadership concepts.

5. Experience in designing training content is preferred.

6. Able to deliver courses in both Mandarin and English.
