Responsibilities

Scope of Role:

• Engage key stakeholders through the Bank's Sustainability initiatives to demonstrate that Company as the Right Partner. Maximise the Bank's leverage on sponsorships in China and build the Brand as the leading foreign bank in China.

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:

• Sustainability and Media Relations

- Proactive media relations management

- Awards submission as part of building Bank's profile

- Actively develop and implement Sustainability initiatives and projects that are aligned with Group policy / strategy

- Maximise our returns in Sustainability investments

- Ensure a high level of staff involvement / participation to add value to programmes

- Create goodwill, internally & externally

- Position the Bank as leader in this area

• Branding

- Support Line Manager in building the right Brand profile in China

• Sponsorships

- Support Line Manager in identifying key opportunities / platforms to build the Bank's brand image and equity in China

- Maximise the Bank’s leverage in existing sponsorships and ensure that they comply with Group guidelines

Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrated ability in media management with strong network of local media contacts

- Relevant experience in communications

- Fluent in English, Putonghua and written Chinese

- Knowledge in Banking and/or experience in Corporate Communications would be an advantage

- Good understanding or knowledge of the local market and culture

- Able to engage various stakeholders, and work well in a team
